Nursery
At Carr Lodge we offer a 52 place nursery. Children can start in Nursery from the term after their 3rd birthday, places are applied for through the DMBC website. All children are entitled to 15 hours nursery provision which can be taken as 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions. Some children are entitled to 30 hours provision which can be applied for through the Government. If you have a 30 hour tax-code you may be able to take a 30 hour place at Carr Lodge. 30 hour places are limited however.
When to apply
A child born between:
- 1 September and 31 December - is eligible from the start of the Spring Term in January
- 1 January and 31 March - is eligible from the start of the Summer Term in April
- 1 April and 31 August - is eligible from the start of the Autumn Term in September

Reception
We have 2 reception classes which each have 30 places. Please note- you do not automatically get a place in Reception if you are already in our Nursery- you must apply for a place through the DMBC website to avoid disaapointment.
Starting School
Schools in Doncaster admit children to reception classes in September at the start of the school year if they have had their fourth birthday on or before 31 August.
Key Dates
Closing date for applications is 15th January 2024
Late applications can still be made and will be considered after the announcement date
National offer date is 16th April 2024 - Parents will be emailed their decision, using the email account used to apply.
